In the heart of this County seat stands the 1858 Greek
Revival style domed County Courthouse surrounded by
34 architecturally significant structures. Albion boasts an
impressive 65 structures listed in the New York State &
National Registers of Historic Places.
The Erie Canal Park offers boat docking facilities and a
landscaped park for watching the lift bridge operations.
The Strawberry Festival in June is one of the highlights of
the community as well as the Wednesday night summer
concert series in Bullard Park.
Albion pays tribute to local legend, Charles W. Howard,
the dean of the original Santa Claus School and owner of
Christmas Park from 1950-65. A bronze statue and mural
adorn Waterman Park on North Main Street. A museum in
his honor is being planned to be housed
on North Main St., Albion, across the street
