Lee-Whedon Memorial Library hosts summer story time program for youths ages 5-10 at 3:45 PM AM. This is a free program, but registration is required and space is limited. Please call 798-3430 or sign-up online at leewhedon.org

July 11: Snacking with Squirrels and other Local Wildlife
Learn about some of the wildlife that calls Orleans County and Western NY home and what their diets include with Kristina Gabalski from 4-H. We will match local wildlife to their favorite foods and then practice what it its like to "eat like a bird!"

July 18: Insect Superheroes
Michael Klepp, nature teacher, will help us discover the special powers some of our insect friends have. Then let's use our detective skills to search and see them up close and personal...if they're not hiding too good!
 
July 25: Orienteering Orientation
How do we read a map, and why do we need a compass? Join Mike Miner, scoutmaster emeritus, for a hands-on introduction to navigation - a useful skill for any adventurer.
 
August 8: Meet the Trees
Trees are a part of our lives every day, but have we taken the time to notice them? Get acquainted with local trees found in our own backyards with help from Katie Oaks, CCE Master Gardener. Hello neighbor!
