Town of Murray
The Town of Murray was formed from Northampton in 1808, and was then in Genesee County until Orleans County was formed. The township has rich farmland and orchards, as well as vast sandstone quarries.
Murray offers campgrounds, views of quarries, golfing, farm markets, cobblestone homes, and numerous sandstone structures. The first Sunday in September, hundreds attend St. Rocco’s Festival to enjoy Italian food, crafts, and a bocce ball tournament. July presents a Tractor Pull which draws a thousand visitors.
