Lee-Whedon Memorial Library hosts a Fun-Time Fridays summer program for youths at 11 AM. This is a free program, but registration is required and space is limited. Please call 798-3430 or sign-up online at leewhedon.org

July 12: Eyes in Pencils and Pens (Ages 8-15)
Experience drawing as a way of seeing. Learn a few drawing techniques that aid your attention and observation. You'll be surprised at the details you've been missing!

July 19: Bee Bungalows (Ages 5-7)
Bees need houses! Nature provides some of the best homes, but we can also create nest sites for these valuable creatures. Come build a bee bungalow for your garden out of everyday materials.
 
July 26: Pressed to Preserve (Ages 8-15)
Pressing plants is a wonderful way to preserve that fistful of flowers collected on a summer afternoon. In this hands-on workshop, learn how to preserve your finds.
 
August 9: Nautical Knots (Ages 8-15)
Oak Orchard Yacht Club sailing instructor, Ethan Hofmann, will be showing us the ropes! The knots you'll learn come in handy for a variety of situations.
