Nature at Night
Join us at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center (1101 Casey Rd.) for a full evening of programming on August 9th, 2025! The refuge is typically closed at night so for this evening we will be offering the following activities:
- Indoor Activities/Crafts and Nature Store from 5pm-9pm
- Nocturnal Life Through Indigenous Eyes presentation with Marve Jacobs at 5pm (RSVP required)
- Live Owl Talk at 6:30pm (RSVP required)
- Lake Sturgeon Talk and Feeding with Denise Clay from the Lower Great Lakes Fish & Wildlife Conservation Office 8pm (RSVP required)
- Night Bug Discovery with Gabriela Cardona Rivera from the Lower Great Lakes Fish & Wildlife Conservation Office at 8:30pm (RSVP required)
- Sturgeon Moon Watch from 8:30pm-9:00pm
Date and Time: Saturday, August 9th, from 5pm-9pm
Location: 1101 Casey Rd, Basom, NY 14013 – at the Visitor Center
Activity Level and Accessibility: Easy-active, will involve sitting and using moderate hand dexterity for some activities. This program is held partially indoors and outdoors. Dress for the weather.
