This year is a special year for our country as we celebrate 250 years of the United States. Many of our monthly talks will have a special focus on our Country’s history. We hope you join us!
Monthly History Talks occur the last Wednesday evening at 7pm from May – October in the Gaines Basin Cobblestone Schoolhouse- 3286 Gaines Basin Road, Albion NY.
Free to attend, donations gladly accepted to benefit the Orleans County Historical Association

June 24 – “The Haudenosaunee Perspective of NY250” Terry Abrams, Curator of Niagara Historical Society
July 29 – “Revolutionary War Veterans in Orleans County” Tim Archer, Albion Central School Service-Learning Educator
August 26 – “Songs and Stories of the Erie Canal” Don Dwyer, musician and storyteller
September 29 – “The Burned Over District Part Deux: The Fire Was Not Easily Extinguished” by Doug Miller, retired history teacher
October 28 – “Hoag Library Special History Collections” Dee Robinson, Local History Reference Librarian
