Orleans County YMCA Canal Club Hydrobikes

The Orleans County YMCA has partnered with Bents Opera House to proudly continue our Canal Club program! Throughout the summer, we are offering free, one-hour excursions open to anyone. Our excursions will provide standard hydrobikes and accompanying equipment (lifejackets).

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes or sandals that can get wet and bring your water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, and a small drawstring bag or backpack to carry them in.

Thunder & lightning & downpours will cause an excursion to be cancelled & a makeup time will unfortunately not be available due to limited availability. Excursions will still continue in light rain.

Self guided trips and experinces start and end at the Medina Canal Basin(Right behind Captain Kidz on 143 E Center St, Medina, NY 14103). Public restrooms are limited, so it is recommended to use the restroom before arriving at the Canal Basin. Hydrobikes will be launched at the Medina Canal Basin community dock featuring a BoardSafe accessible launch. The distance traveled will depend on your ability and time.

Excursions are open to participants age 12 and up. If under 18, you must be accompanied by an adult. Weight limit for Hydrobikes are 250 lbs and kayaks are 275 lbs.

Excursions will be happening all summer long. This program will run from the week of June 28th to August 16th with a wide variety of one hour time slots on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays! They start at various times, so check out the tickets for the specific time(s) on each date.
